First Experience: HIFU!

· Fashion team
Hey everyone! Just had my first-ever aesthetic treatment and couldn't wait to share — especially since I'm always snapping photos and noticing things like my not-so-sharp jawline.
But with my fear of needles and surgery, I needed a non-invasive option. Enter: HIFU.
What's HIFU?
HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) is a non-surgical lifting treatment from Korea that uses ultrasound to tighten skin and reduce fatty — great for things like double chins. It stimulates collagen deep in the skin, giving a natural lift without downtime or needles.
Why I Chose HIFU
- No injections or surgery
- Helps define V-shaped jawline
- No recovery time
- Clinically safe and effective
- Targets loose, sagging skin (like my uneven jaw)
My Appointment Recap
4:00 PM: Registered and got my makeup removed
4:30 PM: Photos taken, numbing cream applied
5:20 PM: Met Dr. Neil — super professional and friendly. He noted my right side was a bit more saggy, so he adjusted the focus accordingly.
5:30 PM: Procedure began. Around 700 shots total, and pain level? Around 5/10. Totally bearable even for someone with low pain tolerance.
6:00 PM: All done! Got an aftercare cream (apply 2x daily for 3–5 days). No redness or swelling. You can literally go out right after!
Day 2 Update:
Just a bit of swelling, but no pain! Even managed a 2.4km run today — Dr. Neil said exercise the next day is totally fine.
If you're considering something subtle and non-invasive, HIFU is definitely worth checking out!
